Figure 2 - Viewing Annotation Elements and Annotation Features
Figure 3 - Highlighting References You can view any of the annotations and combination states from a Creo Parametric model within a Creo View model. When the model loads into Creo View, all annotations from all combination states display by default. In the Primary Panel, the Viewables
tab displays available combination states and simplified representations. To load a combination state, simply double-click it. The viewing area automatically hides all annotation elements not associated with the combination state. The model orientation and zoom level updates to that of the selected combination state.
Notes in the Creo Parametric model that were hyperlinked to other combination states also publish into the Creo View model. Similar to activating a hyperlink in the Creo Parametric model, you can cursor over the hyperlink note in the Creo View model, press SHIFT, and select the note.
In the Upper Data Panel, the Model Annotations
tab displays a list of all annotation features and annotation elements created within the Creo Parametric model. You can expand the annotation feature nodes to view the associated annotation elements. You can also select an annotation element to display the references associated to it within the viewing area.
Specifying a Combination State as the Default Load State
You can set a specific combination state as a default load state when a model is opened in Creo View. Click File
Options. In the Creo View Options dialog box, verify that Global is specified as the setting. Under the General category, select the Loading sub-category. Select the When autoloading use default viewable with name matching check box, and type the desired combination state name in the field. You can use an asterisk as a wildcard to specify a more generic name. The next time a model is loaded, if a combination state matches the name specified in the field, that combination state is automatically loaded with the corresponding annotation and datum entity display.
