Associating Site Map Notes to Geometry

The site map notes that are automatically inserted into the model should have geometry associated to them.

  • Notes come from start model. No geometry at the time of creation.

  • Edit the note properties. Redefine the note type.

  • Specify the entity/surface.

  • Specify location.

  • Edit note description.

  • Modify as desired.

  • Add a hyperlink.

Figure 3 - Editing the Note Description The notes in the site map are automatically included into the model as part of the start part. Thus, the notes are not associated to any model geometry. Now that the model geometry has been created, you can redefine the site map notes and associate them to the geometry that the note callout is for.

Redefine the Note Type to Leader Note

Figure and specify the entity or surface, followed by the location. Edit the text to accurately describe the feature it is for. Then, modify the note to position it as desired, including:

  • Current orientation

  • Move

  • Move text

  • Modify attachment

Finally, add a hyperlink to the note so that it points to the corresponding combination state tab.
