Modifying Dimension and Note Annotation Arrows
You can modify the leader line arrowhead style for both dimensions and notes.

Right-click desired arrowhead to modify.

Many styles from which to choose.

You can flip dimension arrows.

Figure 2 - Multiple Arrowhead Styles You can modify the leader line arrowhead style for both dimensions and notes. Select the dimension or note, then cursor over the arrowhead you wish to edit the style for. When the cursor appearance changes, right-click and select Arrow Style, and select the new style. The following styles are available:

Single Arrow

Double Arrow

Half Arrow

Filled Box

Open Box

Filled Dot

Dot

Target

Triangle

Slash

Cross

You can then create the direction for inspection.

You can flip dimension arrows by right-clicking and selecting Flip Arrows, or you can right-click while dragging a dimension to toggle through the different arrow flipping options.

Steps

Task 1. Modify the arrowhead style of a note. Disable all Datum Display types.

In the ribbon, select the Annotate tab. Select the 7A combined state tab.

Click Saved Orientations
from the In Graphics toolbar and select FRONT .

Select the note, and zoom in on the note arrowhead.
The current style is a filled dot.

Cursor over the note arrowhead. Right-click and select Arrow Style > Double Arrow .

Click in the background to de-select the note.

Task 2. Modify dimension arrowhead styles. Select the 7A combined state tab.

Select the 1.250 dimension and zoom in on it. Cursor over the upper arrowhead, right-click, and select Arrow Style > Double Arrow .

Cursor over the lower arrowhead, right-click, and select Arrow Style > Filled Dot .

Select the 2.210 dimension. Cursor over the upper arrowhead, right-click, and select Arrow Style > Filled Box .

Cursor over the lower arrowhead, right-click, and select Arrow Style > Triangle .

Click in the background to de-select the dimension.

Task 3. Flip dimension arrows. Select the 1.250 dimension, and then click Flip Arrows
from the mini toolbar.

Click in the background to de-select the dimension.

Select the 2.210 dimension. Cursor over the text and begin dragging the dimension to the right.

While still dragging, right-click to flip the arrows.
- Click to stop dragging the dimension.
