The Annotate tab contains icon tools for annotating 3-D models. The annotation icons are organized into the following groups:

Combination States — Enables you to create and update combined states.

Annotation Planes — Contains the orientation gallery icons used to define text direction and orient the model so that the active annotation plane is parallel to the screen.

Manage Annotations — Enables you to Show or Erase annotations and relate annotations to combined states.

Annotations — Enables you to create other annotations such as dimensions, geometric tolerances, notes, and symbols.

Annotation Features — Enables you to create annotation features and datum target annotation features.

Datums — Enables you to create datum features such as planes and axes.
