Figure 1 - Site Map Example
A site map is a combined state that shows a 3-D view of the MBD combined states for a given model. The site map provides a visual table of contents type reference describing the contents of each of the combined states.
In the Site Map combined state, 2-D and/or 3-D notes with leaders are created that describe or visually point to the contents of each of the other combined states. The notes will be hyperlinked to their corresponding combination state to facilitate a quick and efficient navigation method for users to quickly move to the desired information in the model.
It is recommended to keep the site map in mind when planning annotations, and update it when creating the combined states.
